The Budapest Wholesale Market is the biggest in the country where the product offer of the growers and wholesalers is meeting the demand of the retailers six days a week. Fresh vegetables and fruits, citrus-type fruits, mushroom, egg, honey, canned products, preserved food, sweets, refreshments can be continuously purchased through the year.
The market is open also for consumers, but the sale is done in commercial quantity units only.

in main season (from middle May up to middle September):
Monday to Saturday between 00:00 and 07:00 AM (Sunday closed)

from Monday to Saturday between 05:00 AM and 12:00 (Sunday closed)
The market can be entered by both the growers and customers (retailers, wholesalers, institutions etc.) by vehicles against paying the daily fee.
Should the buyers not want to drive-in the market, they can leave their vehicles on the external parking area.
The open-air commercial area of the market is specialized. The sale stands are numbered. When paying the entrance fee, it is possible to define the sector and number of the wanted stand. The stand reservation is helped by a computerised system.

Based upon a previously concluded contract also longterms reservation is posssible.
Also wholesale stores, offices and open-air stands can be rented on the market.
For the market visitors several services are available, like restaurant, buffet,
food store, shop selling agricultural products (like pesticides, artificial fertilizers, seeds etc.), guest-house.
The commercial activity is supported by bridge-balance and customs agency.
